This image was made possible by a fortunate turn of events. Normally water polo at UC Berkeley is hosted at Spieker Aquatics. On this particular afternoon Spieker Aquatics hosted the final dual meet of the Men's Swimming season ( during which Olympian Ryan Murphy would set a record during his final swim at Cal). This event allowed for California Speedo Cup to be hosted at the new Legends Aquatic Center. Legends is beautiful and, as it was designed for diving, has several diving platforms from which I could shoot. I am not often privy to a perspective such as this one, looking straight down into the goal. There was a lot of defense at play in this moment, and no, the ball did not go in.
